At JL Simpson Middle School, students can earn spending bucks at “Monty’s Tack Shop” for honorable, engaged, respectful, and determined behavior. Relationships between teachers and students work both ways, as students can also submit teachers for awards. As with all successful middle schools, there’s a future plan in the works. Next school year, students will be even more engaged as the tack shop transitions to being student-led.
