NASHVILLE, TN — November 8, 2024 — The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) is thrilled to announce the induction of three distinguished educators into the AMLE Foundation Legacy Circle during the AMLE24 Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to middle level education.
2024 Inductees:

Gayle Andrews: Andrews is the co-author of the seminal text, Turning Points 2000: Educating Adolescents in the 21st Century and Making the Most of Middle School: A Field Guide for Parents and Others. She continually shares her expertise in numerous articles, books, book chapters, and research reports that focus on the education and well-being of young adolescents.

John Norton: Norton’s contributions to the field of middle level education began nearly 30 years ago when he secured a grant in the late 1990’s to create a website for educators called MiddleWeb that later expanded to include several listservs. Under his skillful moderation, MiddleWeb grew to include hundreds of educators and regular contributions from prominent figures in the field.

Ed Brazee: AMLE’s publications editor for 12 years, Brazee not only guided countless books through the publication process, but also authored, co-authored, and edited a multitude of publications, articles, and reports. Particularly significant was his work on the 2003 and 2010 editions of This We Believe.
