Present at AMLE24

A hallmark of the AMLE Annual Conference is the wide range of sessions presented by middle grades educators that highlight promising practices occurring in classrooms and schools around the world. From speed learning and snapshot posters, to spark and tell to concurrent sessions, AMLE24 offers a variety of formats to meet every presenter’s needs.

Both experienced and early career educators are encouraged to submit a proposal. Presenters should review the Call for Proposals Guide for important information and tips.

Please note, the call for presentations closed on April 21. Presenters will be notified of decisions by May 10. If you have questions, please contact Helen Polanksy at

Presenters with accepted sessions enjoy a significantly discounted registration rate and must register by August 25.

Presentation Types

AMLE24 is designed with educator’s varied learning preferences in mind. Prospective presenters can select from the following session formats when responding to the call for presentations:

  • Panel Session: Presenters propose a moderator and two or more panelists to discuss a topic aligned with an AMLE24 Special Strand.
  • Concurrent Sessions: One-hour sessions that dig into a particular topic and are designed to be interactive and full of practical take-aways you can implement in your school and classroom. Note: Concurrent Session slots are extremely limited. The acceptance rate is typically at or below 20%.
  • Spark and Tell (New in 2024!) One presentation running for 30 minutes highlighting new and emerging ideas, followed by audience Q&A.
  • Speed Learning Sessions: A hallmark of the AMLE Annual Conference, speed learning allows attendees to explore multiple topics while engaging with presenters in a small group format. Presenters offer a 15-minute presentation three times in succession as attendees move about the room between sessions.
  • Snapshot Posters: Back by popular demand, these visual posters highlight an impactful practice in your classroom or school and includes a tutorial/presentation video of up to 10 minutes. For example, this might be a classroom management strategy, a method of promoting positive culture in your school, a creative exploratory program, etc.). Presenters will have the opportunity to create a poster using a Canva design template that will be printed by AMLE and will include a QR code that links to the video. Grand prizes will be awarded to the most highly rated posters, which will also be included in AMLE’s Mini-PD Library, including:
    • Gold Medal Prize: $1,000
    • Silver Medal Prize: $500
    • Bronze Medal Prize: $250

All presenters, including panelists and snapshot poster presenters must register to attend the conference. AMLE offers a steeply discounted registration rate for accepted presenters.
