Call for Presentations

Be part of the excitement at AMLE50!

The call for presentations has now closed. If you submitted a proposal, you will be notified by September 1, about its acceptance.

If accepted, all presenters must register for the conference by September 15, 2023 or risk removal from the program. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact membercenter@amle.org.

Presentation Types

AMLE50 is designed with our attendees’ unique learning styles in mind. Prospective presenters can select from three session formats when responding to the call for presentations:

  • Panel Session: Presenters propose a moderator, and 2 or more panelists to discuss a topic aligned with an AMLE Special Strand. AMLE will work collaboratively with the proposers to ensure alignment.
  • Concurrent Sessions: One-hour sessions that dig into a particular topic and are designed to be interactive and full of practical take-aways you can implement in your school and classroom. Note: Concurrent Sessions slots are extremely limited.
  • Speed Learning Sessions: A hallmark of the AMLE conference, speed learning allows attendees to explore a wide range of topics while engaging with presenters in a small group format. Presenters offer a 15-minute presentation three times in succession as attendees move about the room between sessions.
  • Snapshot Posters: A visual poster that highlights an impactful practice in your classroom or school and includes a tutorial/presentation video of up to 10 minutes (for example, this might be a classroom management strategy, a method of promoting positive culture in your school, a creative exploratory program, etc.). Videos and session descriptions will be submitted in advance of the conference to be printed by AMLE on templated posters (see link to samples below). Grand prizes will be awarded for the most highly rated posters, including:
    • One $1,000 Gold Medal Prize
    • Two $500 Silver Medal Prizes
    • Four $250 Bronze Medal Prizes

Need some inspiration? Check out a few sample posters including session descriptions and videos to get your creativity flowing!

All presenters, including panelists and Snapshot Poster presenters must register to attend the conference. AMLE offers a steeply discounted registration rate for accepted presenters.

Be part of the excitement at #AMLE22

The Second Call for Presentations is now closed and all decisions have been sent. If you submitted a proposal through either the first or second call for presentations, you can now log in and review its acceptance status. As a reminder, presenters accepted through the second call have until September 30th to register for the conference to secure their presentation spot.

Why present at #AMLE22?
  • You get the chance to share your school and classroom successes with an international audience
  • Recognition on the #AMLE22 website
  • Exclusive #AMLE22 Presenter digital badge to include on your resume and share via social media
  • Access to presenter training sessions
  • Significantly reduced registration rate

Why do we require presenter registration? A hallmark of AMLE annual conferences is our large cadre of attendee, practitioner presenters – more than 300, in fact! While we wish we could make the #AMLE22 experience free to all, there is a substantial cost per attendee to hosting the event and as a non-profit organization it is important that we make the event sustainable so that we can continue to provide top-notch professional development to middle level educators around the world.
