G.R.E.A.T. Teaching Strategies Begin at the Door and Can Happen in Every Class and Every Subject.

This session will use the G.R.E.A.T. Teaching Strategies to assist teachers in having more engaged students and less off-task behaviors. G.R.E.A.T. teaching strategies are lost cost, research supported methods teachers can use in any classroom or subject. The acronym G.R.E.A.T. stands for Greeting at the door, Remembering the student’s name, Engaging the learner, Asking and Assessing, and Taking Time. These strategies can be universally applied and have been shown to effective in skill acquisition and learning.
