CER’s in the Mathematics Classroom
Presenter: Brittany Johnson
Application of students using the CER (Claim-Evidence-Reasoning) approach in mathematics classrooms. Students learn to support any statement they declare to be true with evidence and reasoning. Evidence and reasoning are an applicable take on the concept of “showing your work” that students can carry into any field of study. Learn how and why CER’s are a more life applicable for students than simply being asked to “show your work”.
