Using Visual Schedules and Contracts to Improve Student Behavior at the Middle School Level

This session will walk participants through the process of creating personal schedules and discuss the benefits of incorporating visual schedules and contracts with middle level learners. Visual schedules can provide structure and support needed by students. They also promote independence and self-management, age appropriately, by providing instant feedback to the student. Different designing strategies of schedules will be discussed as well as modifications that can be made to improve outcomes.
