Snapshot 122
Implementation of a Portrait of a Learner to Center Whole Child Learning

Presenters: Madison Biddle, Lisa Amick, Emma Hampton

Our poster displays the work of a year-long project where we implemented a learner profile and accompanying activities in an early career teacher’s classroom. We found that when used effectively and efficiently, it can be beneficial to a student’s holistic development in and outside of the classroom. We saw a change in students’ abilities to practice, implement, and reflect upon several skills including communication, connected citizenship, responsibility, work ethic, and critical thinking.
